Who Can Beat Microsoft?

By Andy Michaelson

Is Microsoft Google's biggest competitor? Many believe it to be true. The thing with Google is that it grew fast, while other companies didn't realize how quickly it was growing. With annual revenue of about $25 billion dollars, Google is an internet leader. With Google, search still accounts for 96% of its revenue stream. Nevertheless, the company has been searching for other growth opportunities.

Well, don't think that Google has been left alone to enjoy all the success. eBay was one of the first competitors to challenge it by claiming that Google was stealing its top customers. Soon after, VIACOM owners of MTV had accused Google of copyright infringements on You Tube (owned by Google). Google was dealing with a lawsuit. Then, Google ventured into the waters of phone business, provoking troubles with Apple. Even though Apple and Google's relations have improved now, they still aren't as good as they used to be in the past. Google has provoked many with its success.

Google's biggest competitor now is Microsoft. This is going to be one of the hardest competitions for Google. How did it start? Well, when Google decided to build PC desktop computer operating systems (Chrome, for instance). In an effort to compete with Microsoft's top product, the Windows operating system, they gave them away for free. Then, Google even entered the web browser business. Google wants their Chrome to come on top of Microsoft's Internet explorer.

Google will have to face the hardest times because of Microsoft. Google has only one major source of profit (the search function), while Microsoft has more than one source of profit. Regarding Windows operating systems, Microsoft clearly has the biggest share here. In the last fifteen years, they have been emerging as the greatest company in the field of technology. That's why a lot of people are interested as to who will emerge as the winner.

Microsoft has a better head start.

By Michael Ortiz

Is UltimateSAP a scam? I recently bought it and found it to be a great tool to learn SAP. In short, no, it is not a scam.

SAP training is not for the light-hearted. Learning and understanding SAP is a time consuming and expensive affair. Various SAP training courser are available online but only one of them truly stands out: the Ultimate SAP training course. What I love about it:

This is a DVD course with five components tailored to let you learn SAP at the comfort of your home. The course in based on hundreds of high quality SAP software computer based training. It is not an online course but a Computer-based Training (CBT) e-books and programs. The program has flash enabled visual lessons and user interactivity to simplify SAP learning and at the same time make it fun.

The courses covers all major SAP modules including MM, DB, Basis, ERP, R/3 and many more. The instructions are presented in a step-by-step manner to help learners absorb the concepts. Plus, learners are walked through tasks that they will encounter with SAP, questions and other issues pertaining SAP.

The DVD course also has case studies and exercises to help learners build and test their knowledge with real life SAP. Furthermore, the case studies help to warn students on potential problems. And what?s more, the package contains everything and therefore all you have to do is simply plug and play.

One important fact:

For most SAP beginners, they usually do not have the actual SAP software. However, I am glad to discover that UltimateSAP provides a simulated environment to practice on the SAP system. You do NOT need to have any SAP software installed. You can practice on the virtual environment just like you have the software installed.

With this DVD course, you will also learn to utilize the SAP enterprise software to help you develop, examine, deploy, show, gather, manage and access various data. The best part is that the database can be used by the various components so that any manipulation of data in one component causes corresponding change to other components as well.

If you are an aspiring SAP technician or consultant and you do not have the fund and or time to for training undergo directly for SAP, this course might just be the perfect answer for you.

Cons:

Here is what I didn't like about it: I would much prefer it if I could download the entire course and view everything online. However, UltimateSAP didn't offer this version. Secondly, the categorization of modules were not too clear. However, it is understandable since there is really too much data and content in the entire course.

Conclusions:

I highly recommended UltimateSAP if you want the fastest way to master SAP. And here is the best part of it: the price! You will be shocked at how much Eli is charging for this. I can assure you that cost is like a single rain drop in the desert as compared to actual SAP training fees in training centers.

SAP consultants are on high demand and their pay is overwhelming. If you want a headstart, go get UltimateSAP; you will not regret it.

Collaborating With Sharepoint Easily

By Andy Michaelson

Sharing with this product is not difficult at all. Well, even the name tells you that it's the core point of the software. It is made with the idea of facilitating and making collaboration and sharing a lot more easier. If you need help with developing a custom solution using this product suite, the rest of this article will teach you more.

The software is able to achieve this by integrating itself along with the other Windows and Microsoft applications. This makes it easier to become a framework around your current work environment. Here is an example: it is able to add buttons, tool bars and menus inside the MS Office suite. So, in case you want to share a document with someone else, all you need to do is to press the appropriate button in MS Word.

As you press the users button on the toolbar, you then choose the user you want to share this document with, and then you can choose to add a task for them (regarding this document). For example, you can set the motion of "approve or reject document". This is where SharePoint emails the user, and you are quickly notified when they open the document. After they approve or reject the document, you get quickly emailed about the approval or rejection, as well as any other comments they might have.

If you view the document in Word after the approval (or rejection), you will be able see their notes and comments exactly in the document, and this is what makes SharePoint the ideal platform for collaboration. Since I used the example of Word and approval/rejection, don't assume that the mentioned is the extent of its collaboration abilities.

In reality, there are literally millions of possible combinations, especially if you decide to design your custom work flows using SP designer. My advice is that you simply hire a consultant who can adapt and customize the product implementation to your personal needs.

Get The Most Out Of Your Sharepoint Consultants

By Andy Michaelson

Now, the consultant's job is usually to help you out. Their entire existence revolves all around the idea that they come into your business, and super-optimize your sharepoint implementation. Now here's a little itsy bitsy trick. They're not constantly going to perform at their maximum capacity. Its not that consultants attempt to get lazy on purpose, its just how persons are. Unless you push them to their maximum, most people only do as much as they can get away with. This really is why you choose to make it one of your goals to basically ensure they deliver the results at peak capacity and capability.

The number one skill these SP guys will have is that they ought to pretty solid with regards to software issues. Their major strong point is they know their way around technologies. However, in relation to consulting and obtaining the very best leverage away from this technologies, folks are a enormous key point to it. You'll need to make positive you integrate them into the corporation culture, and then you motivate them. Its only human nature to only do as a great deal as it is possible to get away with. Even in the event you got the ideal consultants in the world, they won't perform at their finest capacity unless you demand it from them. So do not shy away from doing so, remember, that's what you're paying them for.

I'm pretty positive that I've managed to convince you the benefits of drawing the ideal out of these guys. But how do you truly go ahead and truly know if its working? You need some goal to shoot for. You'll need some markers by which to tell if you're in fact succeeding. This really is why I have a weird, but very functional tip for you personally. Ask the consultants for any previous perform they've carried out in terms of benefits. What did they manage to accomplish with other organizations they worked with. In what time-frame did they achieve it and how did it work out. This way, you are able to notice if they're having the same, far better or worse effects in your own corporation.

And further, you don't must stop with just the facts the consultants themselves provided you with. Its fully ok for you to call their previous clients and request close to. Do not be shy, call close to, and inquire what kind of performance other folks have seen from these guys. Once you inquire a few, you'll come across out what their peak was, and you can use that as the barometer to shoot for inside your very own organization. You know they can achieve it, and they've carried out it prior to, so its now completely ok for you to request and demand and motivate them to obtain it again, in your personal business.

Now, I hope this data helped you, but remember this. You in fact need to have to apply it. Do not get lazy and assume that just simply because you read it, that you are going to get the maximum results. You are going to not. You truly require to work on this and truly go ahead and promise to yourself that you'll do all you possibly can to obtain the ideal out of these consultants that you just can.

Hiring A Sharepoint Consultant For Your Needs

By Andy Michealson

Microsoft SharePoint is widely used when it comes to working on an organization's tasks and pooling resources. It is basically an intranet portal, primarily based on the intranet, which helps the user create a huge variety of resources. These resources are then made extremely easy to access for the end users in that business. In my estimate, at least 90% of serious businesses today use sharepoint, and the other 10% are in the process of implementing it. I mean literally millions of businesses around the globe use SharePoint to streamline their workflow and increase their productivity etc.

What you might know however (this is the secret of the best), is that sharepoint has many little tweaks, optimizations and small little subtleties in its implementation. If you want to get the really best results, its impossible to do it on your own. You will want to get a special outside expert who specializes in sharepoint.

There are many (hundreds really) reasons to hire a consultant, but I want to focus on some of the main ones here. And so, I present them to you in no particular order...

- One of the things I most love about a good Sharepoint consultant is that he will have so much experience with the system, that he will know exactly how to customize it to any business. You are a unique business and you will need some customization to fit your particular needs. -They are well aware of all the SharePoint functions and the latest innovations from Microsoft. - They can allow the transition and implementation of the system to be smooth and seamless for end users and the IT team alike - And of course, these consultants can always also help out with any security issues and such -They can find the most efficient and cost effective solutions for your project. The main reason is that the cost involved in SharePoint is huge, which can go up to tens of thousands of thousands. Consultants can help you bring the project down in cost

If you ask me, and you are by reading this article... Its an easy choice. A consultants is a must if you're considering a sharepoint implementation. And if you are a serious business, then you most definitely need to be considering such an implementation.

How To Hire Someone For Sharepoint

By Andy Michealson

So what is sharepoint? Well, its this really unique solution that Microsoft has come up with. Its function is simple - maximize what you get out of your employees. The idea is that this web-based system allows you to pool all your resources in one easy-to-access database, where you can track and handle all your resources in an easy manner.

If you need to work with SharePoint you should seek the help of a consultant. That is my (somewhat) biased, yet honest opinion. I really think its impossible to maximize the benefits of using sharepoint without going for a consultant who can really help you make the best of this system.

Now, if you're wise, and focused, the question you will ask me now "But why exactly do I need a consultant"? And the basic answer is simple "To get the most out of your investment!". The rather longer list however, is the following reasons...

- One of the things I most love about a good Sharepoint consultant is that he will have so much experience with the system, that he will know exactly how to customize it to any business. You are a unique business and you will need some customization to fit your particular needs. - A specialized sharepoint consultants will always be following the latest changes and updates on sharepoint - They can allow the transition and implementation of the system to be smooth and seamless for end users and the IT team alike - It does help the consultants are also well versed in security issues as well - A funny thing about sharepoint is that the costs can vary tremendously from one business to another. This includes all the intricacies of the different hardware upgrades, the licencing schemes and trainings. A good consultant will help you find the easiest, most affordable option, in effect saving you a lot of money.

But basically, I think the choice is rather simple. If you are smart, you will get the consultants. Its that straightforward.
